The First Church of Christian Discipleship was founded in August 2020. It was, however, planted in the hearts of its founding directors by God by allowing them to see a need in the Church Universal for a branch of Zion dedicated to the growth and development of Christian Disciples. As a sending church, our purpose is to give visible form to the Christian faith and fellowship to which God has called his people.
We acknowledge ourselves to be a local manifestation of the universal church through which Jesus Christ continues to minister to the world by His Holy Spirit. We seek to fulfill this calling through, Christian discipleship, corporate worship, a program of Christian education designed to nurture the faith and love of our members, the proclamation of the gospel by word and deed, and through ministering to human needs in the name of Christ.
Our mission is to prepare the hearts of Christian disciples to go into all the world and teach the Gospel to every creature teaching them to observe all things that Jesus Christ commands. The vision God has given to us is to use our talents and resources to reach people of all ages and at all spiritual levels locally, nationally, and worldwide with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, allowing them to personally connect with God and become His devoted disciples.
