Rev Dr. Tomomi Owens retired from the United States Marine Corps after 24 years of honorable service. During that time, he served as both enlisted and commission officer capacities. In 2003, he accepted God’s calling of him into ministry. He trained under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Luke E. Torian at First Mount Zion Baptist Church of Dumfries Virginia and attended seminary at Regent University. In 2006, Dr. Owens graduated seminary and was licensed a Minter of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2010, having continued to serve the congregation at First Mount Zion Baptist, Dr. Owens was ordained. In 2017, he graduated with a doctorate of ministry from Regent University. During seminary, Dr. Owens felt that God was calling him to plant a church dedicated to discipleship and in 2020, he and his church plant team came together and did just that. The First Church of Christian Discipleship was incorporated in August 2020 and began worship services on 22 November 2020. Dr. Owens and his bride of 19 years live in Stafford Virginia where they raise their children in the understanding and reverence of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Torian at First Mount Zion Baptist Church of Dumfries Virginia. Rev Fetters graduated from Nyack College in June of 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and then attended seminary at The Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology (STVU) which is graduate theological school of Virginia Union University. In 2005 Rev. Fetters was licensed as Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2007, Rev. Fetters graduated seminary and in 2010, having continued to serve the congregation at First Mount Zion Baptist Church, Rev. Fetters was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Currently he is serving as the Assistant Pastor at the First Church of Christian Discipleship which was incorporated in August 2020 and began worship services on 22 November 2020. Rev. Fetters and his wife Bella of 46 years live in Dumfries Virginia. They have two daughters and seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. His hobbies are sailing and riding his Harley Motorcycle. His favorite scriptures are; Proverbs 3:5 and II Timothy 4:5.
